Appraisal Associations
There are many national professional appraisal
associations, and many more regional, state, or local. Some say there are too many and
that appraisers should be like CPAs, with one main organization. This page contains links
to the Web sites of some of the national associations.
The associations offer many benefits to
appraisers, such as networking, education, and widely recognized appraisal designations
(IFA, ASA).
All the Web sites have information on the
associations, including requirements for membership, chapter information including links,
and education. Some have discussion boards. Many have a private, "members only"
section.
